====== Sponsors ======
One of our current sponsors is our school, De La Salle College.. Heres an introduction to our school:
La Salle Boys' is specifically a Catholic School deriving its educational philosophy from Saint John Baptist de la Salle. In keeping with this philosophy we welcome boys of all abilities. We work hard to facilitate the transition from primary school to secondary level education for all our pupils.
John Baptist de la Salle believed that, in the person of the Lasallian teacher and within the Lasallian community of the school, a remedy was to be found for many of the ills of society. The need for such a remedy is just as evident today.
Too many young people find themselves tossed about in a society which presents moral ambiguity and confusion. Too many are consumed by their wants rather than needs. For some, great peer pressure, substance abuse, low self-esteem and poverty of love and affection are a daily reality.
The demands of everyday life may force many parents to spend less time and energy on the Christian formation of their children. This is the context within which Lasallian schools were conceived and in which La Salle Boys' School continues to exist today and to find meaning.
====== Charity =======
Our Charity is "DE LA SALLE ETHIOPIAN FUND".
Here is a summary of what it is about and previous funds raised:
Last year saw us raise a total of approx £68,000. A fantastic sum for all concerned. This was distributed as follows:
Father Baraki (main priest) who looks after many school projects. £20,000 to him to finish the school in Alemghana we started last year and towards the new Library and Science rooms built this year.
- £ 18,000 to Sr Deo Gracias of the mother Teresa's sisters in the orphanage in Goba to help buy clothes, shoes, and food for the orphanage. She also said she will buy houses, yes houses and sheep for many very poor people and families. This will educate them and build a secure future forever for them.
- £ 5,000 to the orphanage in Addis Ababa (mother Teresa's sisters)
- £ 2.500 to the kids Aids orphanage in Addis as well. (mother Teresa's sisters)
- £ 5,000 to Assegid Negash from Addis Ababa who runs the FDIA project for street children in Addis. He takes kids off the streets, feeds and clothes them and educates them. Fantastic work he does.

The Audiables are a 4 piece band from Belfast, who are looking to shape the music scene and to bring back something real and pure to the people and the industry.
