About Us (Mission Statement)
Koopa Records is based on the belief that many good acts from Northern Ireland remain unheard of outside of their own group of friends. It is the aim of Koopa Records to help promote the bands locally to give them the chance to be better known. All bands start of locally before they gain fame throughout the UK and we believe that by helping through the process will help to get bands better known. This could prove beneficial to the music scene in Northern Ireland as it helps people to realise that there is real talent here, not just the one off big-shots like Snow Patrol. We hope to gain this by kick starting the procedure by giving them a helping hand towards a record deal with Blastbeat by entering them into the first stages of the competition which has proved successful to bands such as Steer Clear.
Through the profits of Koopa Records dealings, we also hope to be able to help those in need through a charity called Impact Romania. This charity goes to Romania annually and helps out those who are in great need. They are known to have brought a young girl named Laura back for a heart operation which without it, she could have died. It is our aim to help Impact Romania do good things like this by donating a large share of the money we earn directly to the charity.
