How we became ESP
Chicago, for those who are familiar with it, is a city brimming with diversity, culture, and vivacity that gives the city a unique identity and vibe.
Something special to the Windy City is our elevated train system which runs throughout the city. Our school, located on the corner of Oak and Wells, is right in front of a Brown Line track that connects the Chicago and Sedgwick stations.
We chose to use the El as part of our inspiration for a company name so that we could exhibit our hometown and the pun created from the word elevated adds a nice dimension, as does the abbreviation, ESP.
The trains are a unifier for a lot of Chicagoans as a single train can take you to virtually any corner of the city and will travel through numerous distinct neighborhoods. Music has the same transcendent properties and so we choose to identify our involvement with music with our interactions, as Chicagoans, with the El; it brings us together.
