About Us:
Blastbeat is an award winning Music & Multimedia Business Program offered to high school students all over the world to teach business and entrepreneurial skills, promote young musicians and bands, and create a global youth community with a shared interest in reducing world poverty and helping the environment.
Mather High School has several students participating in the program. Through the Blastbeat program, we have created a student run company known as Chicago Music Enterprise (CME). Our project for this semester is to run a Battle of the Bands event in Chicago using local talent. At the same time we will be donating our profits to a charity and working to keep the environment green.
CME is a youth enterprise based in Chicago. Our attention is primarily focused on that of teenagers. We promote music bands that are in need of an exposure to more individuals. Out company helps artists get their feet in the doors of the immense amounts of the music industry. Our message is that talents exist and everyone can be a part of it. Chicago Music Enterprise wants more souls to express their music side. Our hands do not only reach out to artists but also to those in an unfortunate economic state.
